Feature type

Select the feature type you would like to create:

  • Groundwater abstraction
  • Surface water abstraction
  • Discharge
  • Impoundment
  • Complex influence
  • Gauging station
  • Spot gauge

Licence

If the site is associated with a new licence, complete the required fields.

If the site is associated with an existing licence, enter the licence number (or partial number) and the dynamic search will provide a list of matching licences from which to choose.

For abstractions, discharges and complex influences the easting and northing will be populated using the location selected on the map; that can later be edited manually. The coordinates for impoundments, however, are adjusted to the nearest point on the drainage network.

Abstractions and discharges require at least one site purpose. Impoundments require a purpose and, if significant, a complete set of Release Duration Curves (RDCs).

Qube classifies impoundments as significant or insignificant: significant impoundments impact downstream flows; insignificant impoundments do not, and are held for contextual information only.
